Asynchronous Virtual Learning Day (Formerly FID)
As we approach the winter months, please remember that the Wyoming Area School District will utilize asynchronous virtual learning options in the case of inclement weather or other urgent needs.
In previous years, the term Flexible Instructional Day (FID) was used. Beginning with the 2025-2026 school year, we will be using the term “asynchronous virtual learning day”.
Expectations for parents, students, faculty, staff and administrators during an “asynchronous virtual learning day” will be the same as the Flexible Instructional Day (FID). Kindergarten students would work on a learning packet (AVLD Packet) provided to them at the start of the school year. Students in grades 1-12 will work asynchronously using their Chromebooks and assignments posted to Google Classrooms. The asynchronous virtual learning day will follow the same plan as detailed in the PDE approved Flexible Instruction Day plan; click the link below to view that plan. Should you have any questions, please contact your building principal.
