Courses taught:

Multi-Media Applications - Course Description:  This course will enable the Wyoming Area student the opportunity to meet the technological advances in their educational and career choices.  Students will be introduced to the different types of hardware and software needed to produce multimedia presentations.  Office Premium, which includes Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access software, which is the industry standard, will be introduced.  Web page design utilizing appropriate software to revise and refine web pages will be reinforced, as well as developing, maintaining and editing school and community-based web pages.  Extending Internet searching skills will be further explored and practiced.  Desktop publishing utilizing the industry standard software package Microsoft Publisher will be implemented to design flyers, signs and newsletters.  Visual Basic programming will be introduced and applied to enable the students to have an opportunity to experience computer-programming concepts, which include writing debugging, and executing their own programs.  Students successfully completing this course will be afforded the opportunity to take additional computer courses during their high school years and further enhance their computer skills needed in this ever-increasing technological society.
